The following are selected community projects that June has produced during the past decade.

bulletDREAMS-OF-FLIGHT - Creative writing/arts project with children celebrating the centennial anniversary of the Wright brothers' historic 1903 flight. An officially endorsed program of the First Flight Centennial Commission.
bulletGROWING UP IN AMERICA - Creative writing and mural project partnering NC children (ages 10-18) with NC and NYC college faculty to explore theme of growing up; 1999.
bulletFOOD FOR THOUGHT - Oral history project about life in rural North Carolina resulting in the publication of a book of stories, photographs, and old-time recipes; 1999.
bulletPROJECT GENERATIONS - Intergenerational writing project resulting in the publication of a book, titled THEN AND NOW, of short stories, poems, and children’s drawings; 1991.
bulletTHE HOME PROJECT, PART I: A JOURNEY BACK TO THE FUTURE - Site specific, multi-media project about attachment to land and family, funded by the NEA, North Carolina Arts Council, and North Carolina Humanities Council; Robeson County Historical Museum, NC; 1989-90.
