Directing is like falling in love. Passionate, powerful, and often dangerous. The White Whore and the Bit Player by Tom Eyen (the first play I mustered the courage to direct at age 16) plunged me on a five-decade journey seeking dramas that expose humanity’s foibles and frailties, fire and guts. I hope you enjoy this select portfolio of favorite plays where l claimed the mantle of director.
